Alan Laick is the Creative Director and founder of Laick Design, a comprehensive visual communications company located in Southwestern Pennsylvania. He is an alumnus of Waynesburg College as well as Westmoreland County Community College (WCCC).
Alan started Laick Design immediately upon graduation and has had a career that spans 17 years. With a strong background in all aspects of graphic design and web development, his work has been recognized through numerous awards, magazines and newspapers across the United States.
In 2012, Alan was recognized by Westmoreland County Community College as a Distinguished Alumnus and spoke at the commencement ceremony that May.
In May 2014, Alan will return to the Pittsburgh airwaves with segments on the Your American Story program airing on 104.7 FM. Alan will also be holding one of his Facebook for Business seminars at Waynesburg University on May 22. For tickets call 724-627-5926.
He participates in many technological, educational, and community based organizations throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania. Alan is the current President (2014 term) of the Waynesburg Area Chamber of Commerce where he previously served a two year term from 2010-2012. He is also the current President (2013-2015 term) and a Paul Harris Fellow (2009) of the Uniontown-Chestnut Ridge Rotary Club, and serves as a board member on the Westmoreland County Community College Educational Foundation. Alan is also a board member of the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Southwestern Pennsylvania, The Greene County Tourist Promotion Agency and the Mon River Valley Coalition. Furthermore, he is an active member of the following organizations: The Pittsburgh Build Guild, The WCCC Alumni Association, The Creative Industries of Greene County, Tri-County Oil & Gas Association, The American Heart Association of Fayette County, Refresh Pittsburgh, The Fayette County Sports Hall of Fame, The National Association of Photoshop Professionals and The Graphic Arts Guild.
