Located along Route 188 in Waynesburg, PA in an iconic community location, the current Grandma’s Store location was once filled with the aroma of bacon and homemade soups, open 24 hours, and serviced community members and miners on varying shifts. Formerly The Lit’l Store, community members were familiar with the iconic flattop grill, coolers and metal shelving, but most important was the feeling the Lit’l store offered its customers – one of welcoming warmth and love. Although the store has changed in a number of ways, that feeling of welcoming warmth remains as its latest incarnation Grandma’s Store Vintage Wagons & More.
As more and more businesses look to increase their presence online, Grandma’s Store Vintage Wagons & More had a need for a website for the upcoming holiday season. Using familiar elements from the Lit’l Store and other community items the new store features seasonal wares, crafts and holiday gift items. The repurposed store now features the original pine floor and has rough cut poplar lumber walls and beams. These elements were taken into consideration when designing the website for Grandma’s Store Vintage Wagons & More.
The store now displays various sizes of handcrafted vintage covered wagons, buckboard wagons and unique wooden gift items as well. These items have photos, descriptions, and pricing on the website. At a later date you will be able to purchase these items online. With the holidays approaching, Grandma’s Store Vintage Wagons & More also carries a full display of holiday items such as fresh cut trees, wreaths, and gifts for all members of the family.
We used photography to really focus on the products that they sell at the store and kept the theming of the actual store in mind when designing the site. Using a Burgundy red color scheme along with the pine textures the store allows for a nice visual appearance.
