A few years back Laick Design did the Commendation certificates for the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office. Using that similar design we were tasked to design their Appreciation certificates recently. Keeping the same theme as the other certificates this certificate was printed on blue stock and the recipient’s name and duties are displayed through hand-written calligraphy. The Sheriff badge which we redesigned back in 2016 is shown on the certificate as well.

The wrestling season is underway and Laick Design helped develop the 2019-2020 Waynesburg University Wrestling Media Guide. The guide has a full bleed front cover with 24 pages of black and white content on the inside. The cover features the 2019 Yellow Jackets and their PAC Championship along with a few of their National Champion wrestlers. Wrestling is one of the more popular sports at the University as they have consistently posted successful and winning seasons. New Way Excavating is an excavating and trucking company located in Waynesburg, PA. They service the tri-state area and were looking for someone to develop a brochure for them that they could present to potential clients and also at trade shows. Laick Design recently developed a set of sell sheets for the Hranec Corporation and their HVAC services. These full color, two-sided sell sheets displayed info about the Hranec Corporation’s HVAC division and were used as a leave-behind at meetings and conference events. While these sheets were letter-sized, they can be done in any size and in any quantity. By using engaging photography it allowed the customer to have on-going interest in the services that were displayed.

Dr. Sedlak over at Nutrition with Doc recently completed publication of her latest book, The Ten Commandments to Perfect Health. The book available through Xulon Press is available now. In the book, The Ten Commandments to Perfect Health along with the accompanying Workbook, it contains over 50 custom graphics illustrated by Laick Design. These illustrations are detailed medical images containing info relating to the subject matter displayed in the book and are rendered in full color. Each illustration was drawn using Adobe Illustrator which allowed for scalability for prints and posters detailing the various processes like the Digestive Process. Laick Design recently completed the layout for the Greene County Chamber of Commerce for an event pop-up banner. The banner is one-sided and full color and allows the staff to easily pull up the banner and have it in place at networking events, presentations and various programs and shows. The banner keeps the look and feel of the other publications produced by the Chamber such as their business cards, their membership directory as well as many pieces of correspondence. Using engaging photography and bright eye-catching colors this banner is sure to bring attention and visitors to the Chamber at their booths.

As we move towards a new way of living, events such as golf outings and fundraisers have had to re-structure their way of doing events. The Westmoreland County Veterans of the War on Terror are moving forward with their first golf outing fundraiser. The event will be held on September 12, 2020 at 7 Springs Mountain Resort and needed a flyer and brochure to help promote the event to golfers and sponsors. One of the projects Laick Design has been working on for a few years has been the 100th Anniversary logo and banners for the Sisters of St. Basil The Great. With their 100th anniversary taking place in 2021, we started developing the look for a few of these pieces two years ago. The logo is a recreation of one of the more famous and popular stained-glass pieces seen at Mt. Macrina. This marks the fourth year that Laick Design has helped develop and design the membership and community resource directory for the Greene County Chamber of Commerce located in Waynesburg, PA. Using new membership information along with updated County statistics and history this membership directory is 88 full-color pages and is distributed to new members, existing members and potential businesses. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, this project was delayed from originally beginning earlier in the year to mid-summer.
