Flint Tech Solutions based in Wexford, PA was looking for a refresh on their marketing materials to help them gain new customers in the Pittsburgh, PA area. They approached Laick Design to help develop a set of postcard mailings for a targeted direct mail campaign. We designed a new look for their postcards which featured a silhouette skyline of the city of Pittsburgh for the front of the card along with their three targeted areas – IT Support, Cyber Security and Cloud Services. This political season has certainly been busy. Over the years we have helped clients from all across the U.S. in various political races and this spring has been no different. Laick Design has worked with a few local candidates this voting period on a number of unique items such as sign design, poll cards, buttons, magnets, letters and direct mailings. As you can see in the photo, our sign design is completely unique and instead of choosing a traditional color scheme a few clients running for office chose some different and eye-catching colors this year. New billboards are going up around Greene County for Pro Comfort Heating & Cooling. Laick Design designed the new billboards and feature an engaging heading and captivating photography. The new billboards are focusing on the summer season and promoting air conditioning systems. Each billboard is full color and has Pro Comfort Heating & Cooling’s logo, phone number, website and Facebook link present. As with most billboards the goal is to keep it simple and the message is very clear and to the point for any passerby. On Saturday, June 26, 2021 Laick Design unveiled ten Star City monument plaques along the Monongahela River. On this project we partnered with the Upper Mon River Association, the Morgantown North Rotary, West Virginia University, the West Virginia Humanities Council and the Mon River Towns to complete ten monument plaques that are displayed at Edith Barill Park in Star City. These plaques document the history of Star City and are printed on graffiti proof material with a 15 year UV life span. The start of fall and football season is right around the corner and that can mean only one thing – the 2021 Waynesburg University Football Media Guide. With this guide Laick Design has completed 20 football media guides for Waynesburg University in 21 years. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the football season was shortened and in 2021 a full season will be played. This media guide while smaller than past years, coming in at just over 50 pages, is jammed full with photos, stats, historical matchups and information on the University. Over the past few years Laick Design has designed and completed the layout on the Greene County Chamber of Commerce Membership Directory. For the 2021-2022 edition, we decided to change the publication slightly starting with the cover. This year’s cover features a full color photograph using golds, oranges and browns as the main starting colors. The windmill and fall photo play into the design of the publication coming out later in the year and having it as a fall release. This fall, Laick Design once again continued our work for Waynesburg University and the football program. The 2021 GameDay programs were produced for every home football game that the Yellow Jackets played at John F. Wiley Stadium in Waynesburg, PA. Each program contained a fully color cover which changed each week with a new athlete and university feature. The cover featured the weekly opponent and other information for the week. On the inside, the program contained 12 pages of content on the weekly matchup along with an insert from Touchdown Illustrated. Last month, Laick Design completed the 2021 Uniontown High School 2021 Hall of Fame Programs. With no physical event in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19, the committee felt that they still needed a program for the 2021 class of inductees, With no 2020 class, this program was a bit different on many fronts. Usually the program is around 64-72 pages filled with information on the inductees and advertisements from local businesses. In 2021, the program was scaled back to around 36 pages with just bios on the inductees and information on the Uniontown High School Hall of Fame. We recently completed a series of ads for the National Road Heritage Corridor and Touchstone Center for Crafts promoting an event for May 2022. The event involves plein air art which essentially translates to painting outdoors. The event will be hosted by Touchstone Center for Crafts and Go Laurel Highlands and will be held along the historic National Road Heritage Corridor.
