Laick Design recently completed the new website for Westmoreland County-based non-profit, Westmoreland Children First. Westmoreland Children First (WCF), has a mission of helping children and their families and acting as an advisory board to the Westmoreland County Children’s Bureau.
Westmoreland Children First raises funds to provide urgent needs such as beds, school supplies, winter outerwear, shoes, and clothing that are not covered by the Westmoreland County Children’s Bureau budget.
This non-profit came to Laick Design looking for a refresh of their website so that they can better get their needs and involvement out to the community. Unable to host their annual Wine & Chocolate Gala for the last two years due to COVID-19 restrictions, Westmoreland Children First needed to boost their online presence and increase exposure throughout the community. As the 2019 non-profit of the year in Westmoreland County they had a following and great momentum that they did not wish to lose.
Working with WCF, we were able to develop a website that has a cleaner, modern-looking and easier to use website that fits their goals and needs. With one of the focuses being donations, a donation button is featured prominently on the homepage as well as on the Support Our Events pages on the site. This donation system allows users to choose an area for donation such as adoption, child abuse awareness, beds and emergency needs as well as many other options that they are collecting for.
Information on their projects are also listed on the site. Users can read info on the Winter Clothes and Holiday Gift project, the Rite-Aid partnership as well as many other projects WCF is involved with on a daily basis. By using engaging photography Laick Design was able to display the information presented to the user in a visually pleasing format.
