Laick Design recently completed the layout and design on the new website for Waynesburg Boro. This was a fun site to work on as we developed their first website back in 2008. In the years that followed, technology and website requirements changed a good bit.
Being able to revisit this project for a modern website experience was always welcomed and enjoyable. As with all website projects, we began the process with sketches and layouts of what the new site could potentially look like. Working through that process we were able to settle on a design and layout that fit Waynesburg Boro’s needs but also their goals.
One of those goals was to include their new monthly newsletter to the site. That is now a feature that was not present on the other site. They also wanted the site to work better on phones and tablets and that is also realized as the site was built with the mobile framework in mind. Another goal was to have an easy way for visitors to access public information such as meeting agendas, minutes, and other solicitations. Those items are now easily accessible from the Council Meetings tab.
We also utilized the beauty of downtown Waynesburg in the various photos and imagery that is used throughout the site.
